What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)? |
Search engine optimization is a form of Internet marketing where our goal is to get your site to come up on the first page of Google, Yahoo! and the other major search engines when people are searching for terms relevant to your products or SEO services. The higher your website places in these searches the more traffic you will receive. Many consumers equate the quality of a company to how high they place in searches. |
| |
How do you get better rankings? |
The search engines use complex mathematical formulas (algorithms) to determine the order web pages appear when someone searches online. The formula has a number of different factors that determine the page rankings. The key to succeeding is tweaking a website ethically search engine optimization (SEO) to influence these rankings. |
| |
Do you know Google or Yahoo!'s algorithm? |
Our quest to discover Google's algorithm and Yahoo!'s algorithm for SEO so can only be likened to Ponce de Leon's quest to discover the Fountain of Youth. In reality, however, no one knows or will know the algorithm for search engine optimization. These algorithms are closely guarded and change frequently. What we do know are the various factors that are considered in the algorithm and that is how we achieve top results for our clients. When you optimize a website on all fronts like we do the exact formula is not needed. We get results by doing things the right way-the white hat way. |
| |
What are the factors for getting better search engine placement? |
Well, without giving away all our secrets we can tell you that the main factors include your website content, your site's coding (title tags, meta tags, etc), your site's internal linking structure and external links that point to your website. |
| |
Does White Hat Marketing optimize on all levels? |
Yes we do! Though some companies focus on only one factor of website search engine optimization (SEO) and may get some short-lived results, we focus on all of the prongs for search engine optimization in order to ensure that our clients remain well ranked even if the algorithms change. The "Google dance" is a well known phenomenon which happens when Google changes its algorithm. Many sites jump around in the rankings on a daily basis before they settle into their new natural placement. At that time the SEO companies need to figure out where to tweak the site again in order to obtain higher rankings. Since we are already working on all levels our clients are almost always well positioned after such a change. |
| |
Can I really get on Page 1 of Google and Yahoo!? |
Yes you can! Now if someone tells you that you will get on Page 1 in a matter of a few weeks chances are they will be selling you a bridge sometime in the near future as well. It does take time to get to Page 1 of Google and Yahoo! especially for highly competitive terms. Though the journey will take time it is well worth the investment of resources. Sites on Page 1 of Google often see a 600% increase in traffic. |
| |
What's the difference between SEO & PPC? |
Have all the abbreviations given you a headache yet? SEO (search engine optimization) results in your site placing naturally (a/k/a organic listings) in search results. PPC (pay-per-click) marketing results in your site being placed on page 1 or 2 of Google or Yahoo! in the paid or sponsored links section.
PPC results are immediate and you pay each time someone clicks on your link. SEO takes longer to get to Page 1 but you do not pay per click this is especially important for high traffic terms.
Consumers generally look at natural (organic) listings before they look at sponsored results. If they see what appears to be a relevant website in the natural listings they generally click on that site before they click on sponsored sites. |
| |
Why is SEO better than PPC? |
Who said it was? In fact, in some cases it is not. We always advise clients that the best approach to SEM (search engine marketing) is to include both search engine optimization (SEO) and PPC in their campaign. Basically the best approach is to use SEO for big traffic terms and then use PPC for more targeted terms with a lower volume of clicks but a higher conversion rate. When you hire our team we first analyze your products and services and learn about your target audience and their buying cycle. We then start to research all the relevant terms that people may use in order to find your products and services. Once we have this important research we make a recommendation about which terms to optimize your website for and which terms a PPC campaign should be used for. Often we recommend a PPC campaign while our team works on getting the site ranked on page 1 of Google and Yahoo! naturally. |

What are the costs for SEO? |
Though we rather you be asking what the benefits are, we will certainly answer this question as well. We have packages starting as low as $599.
There are two distinct phases to SEO. The first phase is called initial SEO and that includes optimizing your website's coding, internal linking structure, creating and adding optimized content and beginning a link building campaign. That fee is a flat fee and will be outlined in your proposal.
The second phase is completely optional. This is a monthly optimization and maintenance plan that is geared towards getting you to Page 1. It is unlikely initial SEO will get you to Page 1 on a very competitive term. Monthly search engine optimization (which is optional) is how we will get to Page 1 of Google and Yahoo! for competitive or highly competitive terms. Our fees are based on results - meaning you pay for those terms we get on Page 1 and keep on Page 1. We know that will not scare you away since once you are on Page 1 you will be enjoying lots of traffic and more sales/conversions. Many clients have told us that our invoice is their favorite invoice to pay since it translates directly to traffic and sales! |
| |
What is the Money Back Guarantee? |
Bottom line is we know that you are going to hire us because you want your site to perform better in Google and Yahoo! searches. Our guarantee is that if we do not improve your placement within 60 days of starting your project you will receive a full refund of your fee. So you have nothing to lose and everything to gain-especially website traffic! |
| |
How do you measure results? |
We will provide you with a pre-optimization ranking report that shows you where your website currently ranks for the terms you select. We will also install Google Analytics so we can analyze your existing website traffic. After we complete the search engine optimization of your website (generally 14 - 30 days) we submit your optimized pages to the engines so they can crawl your website and index your optimized pages. You will then get a post-optimization report (generally 45 - 60 days after commencing project) that will show what terms have improved and what your overall net improvement has been. In the unlikely event that it shows no improvement you get a complete refund! Once we are in the monthly optimization phase you will continue to get monthly ranking reports. Our fees will be based on our performance meaning if your site doesn't improve we do not get paid. The bulk of our optional monthly service fees are based on the number of terms we have ranking on Page 1 in Google and Yahoo! |
