Google in China: A Sell Out or Step Up?

Google has started to get serious about one of the fastest growing Internet markets in the world: China. They have announced a partnership with one of China’s largest news, email, entertainment provider and search engines, Sina, to provide content easier to Chinese Internet users. Is Pay Per Click Dead on Google?

Pay per click (PPC) is a type of advertising that Google uses where advertisers are charged every time a person clicks on the link, and can be a costly system for advertisers. Branding 101

Branding is something that is talked about frequently in the world of marketing and advertising, both on and off the Internet. But just what is this “branding” all about? In a nutshell, branding is when you give your business or product a unique identity by using one or more of a combination of a design, a name, a sign or symbol, or a specific term. It is this “brand” that is going to make you stand out among the competition, and that is going to make your customers remember just who you are. Branding can be defined as the process by which a commodity in the marketplace is known primarily for the image it projects rather than any actual quality. Branding is a promise, a pledge of quality. It is the essence of a product, including why it is great and how it is better than all competing products. It is an image. It is a combination of words and letters, symbols, and colors

Micro-Businesses Starting Online Businesses

Although starting an Internet business is much like starting any other business, there are going to be some significant differences with which you will have to concern yourself. Our goal is to identify the steps required to launch your online business, while ensuring that it is cost effective and that you are marketing your site for the lowest possible cost. Let’s look at the advantages of starting your business online or expanding your traditional business to the Internet.

Banner & Rich Media Advertising

We’ve all seen thousands of banner adverts on the Internet but can you remember the last one? Maybe, you can remember your favorite one that had a golf game in it but do you remember what brand it was for? Banner advertising is one of the earliest forms of advertising on the Internet, so called because the adverts typically represented graphical banners across the page.
