With the web, potential clients are comparing your firm with a dozen others online, and their attention span is worth its weight in gold.
If we have trouble with links, finding the information we want, or are just repelled by the design or lack of content, the game is up and your potential client is now a lost visitor who is unlikely to return or think highly of you in the future.
Your lawfirm website needs to:
- Be easy to read (not too much text).
- To the point (no fluff!).
- Easy to Navigate (easy to read text links, not flashy buttons).
This should help to keep the visitors interest by letting them realize that 1) they found the right website for their needs and 2) they can quickly find the specific information they are looking for.
Now we can worry about getting them to take action, like give you a call or submit an email for more details or to set up a meeting. But this is only after making sure our site has the information they want and is dolling it out without too much of a hassle.
Visitors will not jump through hoops, they will leave. Make sure you’re keeping it as simple and clear as can be so that they stay on your site long enough to get a good impression or take action.
