As an attorney, I’m sure there are highly publicized trials and suits that are picked up by mainstream media on a regular basis that are related to your practice. These events generate a lot of user interest, and if you can get related content up that’s related to these events quickly you can benefit from big traffic boosts.

Of course, as a professional and authority in your field, you’ll have more to say then just a regurgitation of the trial. Give your insight, explain the case as you see it, offer the reader a lawyers view and explanation of the event.

Optimize your content for the right keywords, file it in other social media sites, like Digg and StumbleUpon, and watch the traffic come streaming in.

Whether or not these hits result in high quality leads isn’t the only meter by which to judge them. If you write thoughtful content that generates traffic, other bloggers and even news sites will link to you content, driving up your page rank for other searches and giving your practice and name more weight and authority.

This, in the end, will bring you much more activity and customers, even if they aren’t a direct result of the inbound traffic from your article.
