If you’re just starting out with an online presence for your dental practice website, be sure to follow these first 5 steps to get off on the right foot.

  1. NAMING THINGS IN YOUR SITEWhat’s in a name? Everything, starting with your domain name. A good domain name with relevant keywords is important for your websites SEO. Beyond your domain name, keep in mind how important the titles of your pages, articles, link text, even the file names and descriptions of uploaded media! Use relevant, well chosen keywords in all of these spots.
  2. CHOOSING KEYWORDSFor dental practices there is a strong regional influence over who you should be targeting. Besides choosing your normal dental-related keywords, be sure to choose regional ones as well (such as city, state, neighborhood, area landmarks, etc).
  3. START WITH SOME CONTENTLaunching a site that just tells users where you’re located and how long you’ve been at work probably won’t do much for you. Start with some content. Write a 5 300-500 word articles about relevant topics to your practice and geographical location.
