Geographic Keywords and Real Estate Marketing

Keywords are the all important blocks of a strong SEO campaign. When developing a website for real estate, be sure to employ strong variations of geographical keywords.

Some “geographical” variations include:

  • City name, nicknames
  • Neighborhood name, nicknames
  • Well known streets and intersections
  • Landmark features in the area, such as hotels, museums
  • County name, nicknames
  • School district names, nicknames, mascots
  • Major access highways nearby for commuting

The list can be developed further.

Make sure you’re putting these important keywords in your property descriptions, articles, and other web content. People are searching for homes and apartments in areas they recognize or heard about, and while they might not know exact names, they might know that it’s near a museum, or that they want to be in a certain school district.
