Google Ad Views Jump In April

An industry report released today announced the strong growth in ad views, further sign of the growing reach of online advertising.

Web tracking firm comScore Inc’s monthly report on “paid clicks” showed Google’s U.S. growth at 19.6 percent in April from a year ago, compared with growth of 2.7 percent in March and 3.1 percent in February, according to analysts.

Meanwhile both Yahoo and MSN saw declines in their click throughs, 4.4% and 9% respectively.

The data suggests that maybe the two competitors would have been better off with a merge to compete against the industry giant Google.

The release of the news saw Google share prices jump while Yahoo slipped. Microsoft saw a small increase in share price, as well.
