If you are a website owner, you are going to need to get your website on the search engines’ radars. Your goal is to get it as close to number one for the search result as possible. But how do you get your webpage to be number one on Google?Â
You use SEO to get your pages at the top of the search results. SEO stands for search engine optimization, and is a really complicated process if you are going to learn all of its intricacies. So the question is, should you learn SEO techniques on how to get your page a top result on Google or should you pay a professional to do it yourself?Â

A professional is going to be able to do it easily, and if they are good at their job, they will be able to do it right the first time around. If you do it yourself and aren’t already well versed in SEO techniques, there is going to be a huge learning curve. Also, it may take a long time to see the results, because it will take awhile for your new pages to be looked at by Google. Â

Does this mean you shouldn’t try SEO yourself? Of course it doesn’t, it just means that you should do a little reading up on the subject first. Remember that one of the biggest keys to SEO is to keep it natural and to keep it on topic. Using keywords that people might search for is important, but what is more important is having a natural sounding website. Stuffing in keywords or having a bunch of nonsense may seem like it would work initially, but people will be turned off from your site, which will hurt your traffic in the long run.
