How to ruin a PPC Campaign

There are lots of ways to improve your PPC campaigns. There’s also one way you can be sure to ruin it. Make sure you’re not making a big mistake before you launch your PPC campaign and read on.

PPC (Pay per click) is an easy, cost-effective way of advertising online that can yield extremely high returns on investments for advertisers. Essentially, you’re putting your services/product/website directly in front of users who are actively looking for them.

Advertisers must keep this in mind while ramping up a PPC campaign, because ignoring it will ruin your entire effort.

How NOT to ruin your PPC Campaign

Since you’re marketing to an actively searching user, this means you have 0.1 seconds to show them what they want. People won’t take time to scan through your online store to find the item they searched for on Google and that led them to your site. They want it right away, or they’ll hit the back button and go elsewhere.

To capture these clients, every PPC keyword/target you’re set up for must have a landing page, especially for larger websites such as online stores and warehouses. By creating a landing page, you’re giving your marketed product/service 100% attention, letting that actively searching user find just what he wanted, and letting him purchase/take action within seconds.

If you don’t have landing pages as part of your PPC campaign, go back to the drawing board right now and set yourself up for success.
