The ongoing saga between Yahoo and Microsoft isn’t put to sleep yet, thanks to outraged shareholder Carl Icahn.
Icahn wrote a scathing letter accusing the Yahoo board of entrenching its position and sabotaging the Microsoft buyout offer without allowing shareholders to determine what in their best interest.
Icahn has filed a lawsuit and hopes to have an alternate board in place before the annual meeting August 1st.
Yahoo, meanwhile, is busy responding to Icahns attacks and maintaining talks with Microsoft. A possible plan of selling parts of the company, displaying Microsoft ads on Yahoo searchers, and other ideas are in the air.
Icahn and others say a partial buyout will not serve Yahoo shareholders.
