Everyone should try to get LINKED IN! Get connected to a large group of professionals who may take you one important step closer to meeting an important business contact!
After attending some recent marketing meetings and having fate intervene (someone I haven’t seen since college happened to be there and made an important introduction for me) I started to refocus on an important marketing tool that I foolishly let slide for too long—marketing and networking through personal connections.
You may be one or two people away from making an important connection that can help your business skyrocket. Perhaps it will be someone in the media that can run a story for you, or perhaps an investor looking to invest in a new business deal, maybe its someone looking for your products or services directly or someone who can unlock a door to many new clients.
Here’s how it works in a nutshell, and we will use the network I created on the site as an example.
I create a network with all my trusted colleagues, clients, friends and family. In turn, they start to create their networks of trusted colleagues. These networks are all connected so you are 1 or 2 introductions away from meeting anyone else in the network.
So, my personal network has 10 people. Those 10 people have an additional 200 people in their network who in turn have 3,000 people in their networks. You are now connected with over 3,000 potential business contacts by two short introductions with the lines of introduction right before your eyes!
Introductions are made through the website and no one can contact one of your network contacts without your knowlege and approval so your contacts are safe!
You may be one or two introductions from meeting important vendors, buyers, clients, etc.
In one short month I have watched two former colleages find great new jobs, one get a solid lead on a source of business and at least three other colleagues get hired for the services they provide.
This is a great site with great potential!

I encourage you to join and to continue to build your own networks through linkedin. Taking the time to fill out all the aspects of your profile and then invite others and encourage them to invite others may unlock important doors for you.
This system has worked for many and can work for you and that is why we are making it part of an important overall goal – encouraging our clients to network more.
