According to Michael Jenson of WebProNews, Google has managed to start indexing newly submitted websites in less than 24 hours (see: http://www.webpronews.com/blogtalk/2008/01/07/google-indexing-sites-in-1-day-again).
He’s found success by developing seven steps, as seen in his article, “7 Steps to Get Your New Site Indexed in 24 Hours” (see: http://www.webpronews.com/blogtalk/2007/11/26/7-steps-to-get-your-new-site-indexed-in-24-hours). The simple formula produces results, and it can be utilized by both the layman and the professional. Most important is the development from scratch of your own domain, rather than depending on pre-existing designs that could be overly complex and unnecessary. It’s possible in many cases to meet the needs of your business without all the fluff, and spend less money doing it.
The formula includes solid content, internal links, and external links from both social networking sites and by commenting on popular blogs and forums. These are all common SEO tools, but when used correctly create a powerful combination the crawlers simply cannot resist!
