You might be a diligent reader that commits every word to memory, but most folks just aren’t. Especially online.
When writing we usually seek to avoid repeating ourselves, but when it comes to online marketing, we should be productively repetitive.
If you’ve ever studied a foreign language, or any subject for that matter, you’re probably familiar with the power of repetition. In repeating the same information again and again, it gets worked deeper into our brains.
When online, we tend to scan more than we read, which means the initial ‘reading’ is even weaker in our memory. We probably don’t even have an entire understanding of what we scanned, but we ‘get the idea’.
Scanners need to be reminded.
Don’t be afraid to reiterate the same important points, names, and other data on your website, whether its within the same article or in different formats and locations in the layout of your website.
Repetition is a powerful tool, and an invaluable one for marketing your legal practice online.
Make it stick.
