Maximizing Your Landing Page Conversions

When you get a visitor to your landing page, you need to have it optimized to create guests that stay long enough to assimilate the information that it provides. Getting them there is just a small piece of the puzzle of conversions.Â

Consider what your offer is. Your offer is the “call to action”. You are trying to get the visitor to act in some manner. That could be making a purchase, opting-in to a newsletter, signing a guestbook, etc. Your offer needs to be experimented with to optimize its performance. Be innovative. Be clear. Make it so that each visitor can clearly understand the benefit of executing the action that you desire them to.

Your lead, or the first paragraph of content on your landing page, is of paramount importance. If it is boring and doesn’t make them want to read more, then you lose. Keep it fresh and interesting. Be honest and fun. Always place yourself in your visitor’s shoes and ask yourself the important question: Is this boring? If so, change it around until it retains attention.
