Microsoft Looks Towards Facebook

With the failed acquisition of Yahoo, Microsoft has begun looking at Facebook as a possible acquisition.

Microsoft owns $240 million of the company, valued at $15 billion.

Microsoft’s bankers have begun sending signals to Facebook to see if they would be open to an acquisition, though the company’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, has so far resisted selling the company outright.

Facebook is considered a valuable asset because of its large and loyal user base of over 70 million active members.
