More Smart Phone Users Browsing Online

An M:Metrics study has released numbers about how US and UK smart phone users spend their time online and how much of it.

Internet browsing by Smart Phone users in the US has increased 89% year over year, with page views rising 127%.

Where are these people spending most of their time online?

Craigslist.org, mostly, according to the report. As well as eBay, Facebook, and major search portals.

The mobile web platform looks like it just might become a high potential advertising platform for online marketing. Companies such as Google have been advocating the power of the mobile platform for years, releasing just a few months ago new options for advertisers targeting the mobile platform with their search ads.

That these browsers are doing online shopping at Craigslist.org and eBay.com is encouraging, and it’s going to be exciting to see what this trend leads to for online marketing.
