Online Marketing Tips for Attorneys: Choose a Phrase

What do you do? How do people think of you in words?

Answer those questions, and target those words.

For example, if your a patent lawyer in Washington, DC, people might think of you in words as “DC Patent Lawyer”, or “Patent Services in DC”.

Find the phrase that gets good search traffic (more than 50 searches a month) thats specific to your location and services and zero in.

Focus your attention on it. Write your content around it. Work it into your titles, and make your website sing that phrase to the search engines. Your hard work will get you ranking on page 1 of popular search engines and start generating some serious leads.

Once you’ve got a handle on that phrase, find another, and repeat the process with more fresh content, until you’re ranking on high on at least 5 strong keyword phrases that bring you specific and focused traffic.
