Real Estate Marketing Online: Be Current

We’ve spoken regularly on the blog about writing content articles that can capture organic search leads, motivate users to share contact information, and establish your credibility and expertise.

There’s always something more to be said, ideas to be shared, on the topic of content and articles. Your sites textual content is King, after all. While it is almost solely responsible for search engine rankings, it is nearly completely responsible for converting visitors into leads and customers.

Be Current

Are you addressing current issues as well as advising buyers about your neighborhood, properties, and other home buyer related topics?

Being current can mean writing content outside of these areas or entwining it within them.

Being current when you write means addressing issues that are hot right now, not last week, not since forever, but now.

New development coming into town? Is a large business moving in that will drive up real estate prices in one of your areas? You get the idea.

Whatever is happening now, ought to be showing up on your blog. People get tidbits on whats happening from various sources, be they the television, radio, or other websites. The first thing they do when it peaks their interest is, you guessed it, hit the search engines. This is valuable traffic that you need to be capturing.

Add at least one ‘current’ topic into your regular writing cycle, and try to ‘be current’ in your other topics as well, adding links, information, and tidbits in where appropriate.
