SEO Tips: Don’t Clutter Titles

The title tags of your web pages are extremely important should contain relevant 1st and 2nd tier keywords in a short, descriptive way.

And unless your company name is well recognized and a household name, get it out of there.

For the typical small business competing for good search placement, placing your company name in your title, especially at the beginning, is tying one hand behind your back.

Searches for a small businesses’s name are few and will bring you little traffic. Essentially you are wasting and diluting the power of your titles by including it.

General the company name will only belong on a few pages, such as the About page or Company History/Contact areas.

Go fix your titles and see the results.
