Keeping your page titles, link text, and web copy full of keywords in a variety patterns is a great idea. Add to that list your link’s anchor text, and you’ll get even more for your SEO buck.
You can use the ‘ALT’ attribute in your link tags to add anchor text. The ‘ALT’ attribute should have descriptive text about the link, including keywords.
Some CMS programs, such as Wordpress, prompt you for this text when you make a link in the WYSIWYG editors, making this easy to do even for non-tech savvy people.
Don’t use the same set of words for every link, use different combinations and arrangements to keep Google happy and maintain an SEO rich website.
