It is an exciting time when you are about to begin your first pay-per-click campaign. Many dive in to find that they are loosing loads of cash because they are making beginner’s mistakes. Don’t let it happen to you. Follow these tips and prosper!
·     Do not engage in bidding battles. Save this for when you are an advanced marketer.
·     Do the math necessary to compute your conversion rates for a given campaign. Determine how many clicks on average that it is taking you to make a single sale. Weigh this figure against your price-per-click to establish profitability.
·     Use special landing pages for each campaign. Customize a given landing page to be geared for targeted visitors for a specific product. Do not send your visitors to a page full of banners or links to various products.
·     Target your keywords. This is absolutely critical. Do not waste your money on general keywords. You will make zero sales.
·     Determine a budget for a given campaign and then do not surpass it.
·     Capitalize on commonly misspelled words. These incorrect spellings will have a lower price per click and are frequently searched. (i.e. review vs. reveiw).
·     Split-test your market by making and testing different ads for the same products. Some words will have a more profound impact than others.
Follow these tips and you will soon find yourself in the profit zone!
