If you spend any time on the net researching how to market your website and its services online, I’m sure you’ve stumbled upon at least a dozen different eBooks with great titles, many of which you probably downloaded.
But eBooks aren’t only for the internet guru. They can be for the law guru, too.
WHAT TO WRITE
Your eBook doesn’t need to be long, and it cannot be complicated.
Pick a topic that falls under your expertise, take a question that you receive regularly from clients, and answer it in an easy to read, simple eBook.
While I can’t tell you what to call your new project, or what it should be about specifically, I will give you this advice: make sure its something people really want to know about, enough that they’d be willing to trade their e-mail and name for.
WHAT TO DO WITH IT
Now that you wrote a nice, brief, and useful eBook on a great topic, we’re going to use it to help promote your website, your services, and generate some new leads.
Thankfully, the topic you wrote about is very closely related to the sort of client profile you’re looking to pick up (injury lawsuit, malpractice, divorce, etc). This means that the people who downloaded your book are worth keeping in touch with.
For people to download your free eBook (yeah, free), we’re only going to ask for a valid email, their name, and for the offer to send them an email with the link to your eBook’s download page.
Now we have some contact info, and the opportunity to send some high quality sales promo right into this high potential lead’s virtual doortstep, and we’ve made a direct, one-on-one contact with them, which ought to help keep your name on the top of their minds when they finally choose a lawyer.
